With everyone staying home due to COVID-19 and shelter-in-place orders, I decided to put together A Simple Guide to Photographing Your Kids to share with my MLP Mobile Presets!

So many spring portrait sessions have been canceled due to the coronavirus, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get great pictures of your family during this season! Quarantine is a great time to improve your camera skills (DSLR or mobile phone) and learn some new editing tricks!

This Simple Guide to Photographing Your Kids + BONUS MLP Mobile Presets for Lightroom Mobile will walk you though five steps to achieve better photos of your kids at home using your DSLR or mobile phone! Learn how to find good light in your home, and how to prompt your kids to get fun natural images!

Lightroom mobile is a FREE app for your mobile phone! You can download the iOS app here or the Android App here.

Today I took a few of the prompts from my guide to set up a quick photo shoot with my almost three year old Pippa! We had fun, but she lost interest quickly. I am learning that kids don’t do well with long photo sessions, but quick bursts! So have your camera or iPhone ready and snap away!
