A Classic Southern Wedding at First Presbyterian

First Presbyterian Wedding

Josh & Cayla’s classic southern wedding at First Presbyterian Church in Meridian, MS was such a joy to capture! Every detail from the soft pink florals to the timeless blue suits, was absolute perfection.

I loved getting to know Josh & Cayla during their engagement session. We got to know each other as Josh drove us around the lake where he spent so much time as a child, stopping in beautiful locations to capture the love they share in beautiful images. I was so excited to see them again this past Saturday as their wedding day was finally here!

The wedding ceremony was held at the historic First Presbyterian Church of Meridian, built in 1913. The beautiful stone facade and traditional decor of the sanctuary were the perfect setting for Josh and Cayla’s timeless wedding day style. Dr. Rhett G. Payne, III led us in a worshipful service, honoring Jesus as Josh & Cayla became one before God and congregation of witnesses.

Following the ceremony, the wedding party boarded the Meridian Trolly for the ride to The Max to celebrate the newly married couple. The party was kicked off by the traditional first dances, followed by Style Entertainment leading a high energy dance party! The culmination of the evening was the sparkler exit and Josh & Cayla speeding away in a classic 1950’s Chevrolet Belair!

I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to capture Josh & Cayla’s classic southern wedding at First Presbyterian Church in Meridian, MS!

Cayla + Josh | Engagement

Meridian Mississippi Engagement Session

At had the BEST time with Cayla and Josh during their recent engagement session in Meridian, MS! I am so thankful for Terrica from Southern Productions Weddings & Events sending this fun couple to me! I am so excited to work with Terrica once again to make Cayla and Josh’s September wedding everything they have dreamed of!

We began our time together on the front steps of the Meridian Municipal Building. This was our first time to meet, so I think we were all a little bit nervous at first! And that is what I love most about engagement sessions. We get to spend time getting to know one another and working together in a relaxed photo shoot so we can all get past the nervousness of meeting someone new. It is also an opportunity to coach them through my full posing system and get lots of practice before the wedding day! And we laugh a LOT along the way!!

From downtown we drove to a private lake owned by Josh’s family friends. This place is not only a DREAM, but somewhere that hold special memories to Josh. We drove around the lake looking for the perfect spots to stop and take pictures. I am so thankful we had amazing dreamy light, and the most amazing sunset!

Cayla and Josh, I have prayed for you and your relationship as I have edited your engagement images. As I have prayed the word JOY keeps coming to mind, as well as the verse “The JOY of the Lord is my strength!” Nehemiah 8:10. I pray that you will ALWAYS be full of JOY as you lean on Him in good times and bad. I pray that you will continue to grow stronger together in the days ahead, and that you will truly be a chord of three strands that is not easily broken.

Mr. and Mrs. Wildman | A Rainy Day Mississippi Wedding at The MSU Riley Center

As Dan & Ronit’s wedding day approached, we all watched the weather closely. Praying for the Lord to move the rain and provide a beautiful clear day for their Christmas themed backyard wedding. But His plans were different, and the Terrica of Southern Productions was able to contact all the vendors and move everything to the MSU Riley Center Grand Opera House. This wedding day’s vendor team went above and beyond to make Dan & Ronit’s wedding day every bit as beautiful and special as their original plans. The show must go on and Terrica and her team brought everything together beautifully!
